About Us

Like you, we love IKEA®

… the impeccable style, the green ethos and the affordable prices. We realized there were a lot of us here in the Triangle and that there should be an easier way for us to enjoy the Scandinavian goodness. We provide all the services you need to bring these wonderful furnishings into your home, from personal shopping to home delivery and even assembly.

We also wanted our business to be about more than just shiny and pretty things.

It hit us that the language-free, pictorial, IKEA® assembly manuals provided the perfect opportunity to provide work to the Triangle’s refugee community, who are now learning English and other skills to make new lives here. We had already befriended many local Nepalese who were driven out of their ancient homelands in Bhutan and have come to us by many subsequent acts of compassion. Having spent the better part of 20 years in refugee camps, unable to work and unable to reintegrate into larger society, they now struggle to find work and support their families in the Triangle.

And this is where “social entrepreneurship” became more than a buzz word for us. We saw a clearly tangible and meaningful way we could apply our passion and ambition to improving the lives of those who have endured so much. Our Nepalese employees appreciate the chance to put in an honest day’s work, assembling furniture while also piecing together new lives among us.

Namaste and thank you for your business.
